Hulu

The greatest thing since DVR!! I think I watch more tv now then I ever have(not necessarily now because I really haven't watched that much but overall). We record everything and end up watching it either at night while in bed or on the weekends. Now with Hulu I can watch all sorts of shows and movies.

I've been watching Arrested Development because everyone insist that it's the funniest sitcom ever. I don't know if I was expecting more or what, it's funny but I think the Office and Scrubs beats it hands down.

April Sadness

I'm not really sad other then now I can't talk any smack! So how hard is it really to pick all number one seeds making it to the final four? Anyone can do that.

Out of the four I would like to see UCLA win but I think they are the weakest of the four teams. I think that it will be out of Kansas & NC. Who ever wins that game will win the championship. The good news for T now is that she doesn't have to watch this much basketball again for another year.

JJ AT HOME!

Luke is infatuated with a couple of things. One really annoying thing is he turns my tv off whenever he is over. He also opens our little cabinet with our movies and pulls them out. Thats about all he does at our house, that and tries to escape out the door whenever he can. No, he plays with toys and the kids a lot, it just seems like whenever I'm home he just hangs around the tv. He loves barney and while he's looking at our movies he just says "barney, barney, barney, barney, barney....".

Luke watched Jay Jay the Jet and I guess that's all he talked about after words. T had Cody and Luke with her the other day out shopping and Luke was going on and on about JJ and finally Cody turned to Luke and yelled at him, "LUKE! JJ AT HOME!!!"

I love that story. I should probably stop yelling at Cody.

Coloring Easter Eggs!

So, we got all set up at my moms to color eggs, Cody was soo excited and he just couldn't wait to color eggs. Kiara, Kayli and Bryten were all excited but they knew what was coming and what coloring eggs involves. While Cody just knew we were going to do something that look like it was going to be fun. When we were finally ready Cody could hardly handle it, he wanted to get a hold of an egg and put it in the cup. I don't think any kid has been so let down. It wasn't nearly as fun as it looked like it was going to be. As soon as he put the egg in he wanted to take it out and put it back in and take it out and pound it on the table. So we sent him in to the other room and let him come back when it was time to put stickers on the eggs. Bryten made a very very purple egg, we kept pulling it out and she kept saying "darker".

Soccer

All of the kids now play soccer on the same team. It's fun and they love it. Zac is pretty good, usually the fastest kid, always in the front and if he could kick the ball anywhere other then straight he would be better. Bryten loves to run after the ball, she always has a huge grin on her face but she doesn't really want to kick the ball. She got in a really good kick the last game after it rolled right in front of her about a dozen times before that. Then there is Kayli and Peyton who can no longer play at the same time. They stay close together, talk, hold hands, and don't pay much attention to the ball.

Their socks are about as long as they are tall. Since T is at dance I get bryten ready so I pull the socks all they way up. She also wears shorter shorts then what they gave her. She didn't like the long shorts.

Cody loves it also. He wants soo bad to play with the big kids. He kicks a ball along the side lines and when he can he'll kick the ball on the field.

March Madness

I didn't put any money on my bracket this year or for the past few years at that. For a while there I was in three to four pools (never winning). Now if I have the five or twenty bucks I'm a rich man and I hold on to that. No throwing it away on basketball games. Any who, I am in few online pools and one at work and all my brackets are about the same with a few minor differences. So I picked Wisconsin to win it all. I have to admit the mish did make me a Wisconsin man after of course being a Utah man. They are playing tough this year and they only have Georgetown and Kansas to beat to get to the final four. Georgetown is weak, the Kansas game should be pretty good. I really think that UCLA will win the whole thing but wheres the fun of putting a #1 as the champions?

My New Favorite Band

So I'm old and out of the loop. Used to be up on all the new bands, now I find them when everyone else is tired of listening to their music. O well! I guess that's what happens when you listen to more talk radio then music radio. I basically find all my new favorite bands from SNL.

Vampire Weekend

Tutus

Taryn and Jen sale tutus. I think they would sell more if they tried and even more if they would set up a website. Here is a video that we put together, they didn't want music put to it. If I think about it I might put some music to it. It's kinda fuzzy on youtube, it looks a lot better on our computer.

Rose Park Festival

The fourth annual Rose Park Community Festival is on April 26th, the last Saturday in April from 1 to 6. Everyone is welcomed to attend whether or not you live in Rose Park. We have open tables if you would like to sell something at the festival. Last year we had a couple thousand people walk through. This will be the fourth festival and we believe it will be the best, we're getting a better understanding of what is needed to attract people to the festival and get them to stay for a while.

There will be food for sale and entertainment. We have arts and crafts for the kids and a dunking booth. We thought about dunking our City Councilman but he is about four feet taller then the tank of water. We might have a car show and some dutch oven samples. There will be a lot of information on non-profits and hopefully some merchandise for sale.

Hours of Fun on the Internet

If you can't tell, I'm totally addicted to the internet. There is just so much you can do and see and read. Thanks to a couple of sites I visit regularly I have more things to do on the net.

I found Piclens thanks to Paul Mayne's site. Now if this isn't one of the coolest things on the net I don't know what is. It's an add on for firefox and it looks like it works on Safari and explorer but I don't understand why anyone would not use firefox.

With my limited time playing with piclens I have found that it is awesome for Flickr but not so great on Picasa. It's pretty cool for Myspace and Facebook for looking at picture albums of others.

Thanks to North Temple and by now just about everyone else because it's been out for some time but just recently available for Salt Lake, Google Maps Street View.

You can look up your house, your parents house, a store, the temples or your old schools. I found the name of a restaurant, I knew were the restaurant was but didn't know the name so I used google street view to find it. It seems as though they drove through our neighborhood some time late summer last year.
